Position: Facilities Manager - Independent Healthcare Clinics (Carver County, MN) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (on-call as needed) Locations: Four clinic sites across Carver County, MN Reports to: Executive Leadership Direct Reports: One staff member, plus occasional temporary support

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee and directly support operations across four independent healthcare clinic locations in Carver County. Primary campus in Waconia with satellite properties in Chaska, Norwood, and Watertown. This working leadership role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, project management experience, and a collaborative, service-oriented approach. The successful candidate will balance performing preventative and some corrective maintenance themselves with overseeing other projects, facility operations, vendors, budgets, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform and oversee day-to-day facilities operations across all clinic sites.
• Identify and carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Manage one direct report with significant facilities experience; coordinate temporary staffing as needed.
• Manage contracting and serve as the primary liaison with property management companies, vendors, and contractors.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage small construction and renovation projects (including hands-on work as appropriate).
• Assist with developing, managing, and monitoring the facilities budgets, including cost control.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare safety standards, regulations, and building codes.
• Respond personally to urgent maintenance issues and provide on-call support when needed.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Proven facilities management experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments.
• Strong hands-on technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Experience with project management, including construction oversight and coordination.
• Demonstrated success with budgeting, cost control, and vendor negotiations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and in writing.
• Knowledge and experience with computers, including email, phones, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance and safety standards preferred.

Education and Experience:
• 5 years facility & project management experience.
• Certification or training in specific trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, or carpentry) preferred but not required.
• Experience in handling construction or renovation projects.
• HVAC certification preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:
• Ability to stand, walk, and move about the facility for extended periods of time.
• Regularly required to use hands and arms to reach, handle, or operate tools, equipment, and office technology.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry materials and equipment weighing up to 25–50 pounds (with or without assistance).
• Occasional climbing of ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching to perform inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations, which may involve rapid movement, lifting, or other physical activity.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 per year
Compensation decisions are made based off several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification, and licensure as well as internal equity. Wages are just one part of our employee compensation package.
