Ukrainian Egg Painting
Come learn the fine art of Ukrainian Egg Painting with your children ages12 and up. You will receive a kit to keep including dyes, a kitska, and wax. A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, "to write" or "to in scribe", as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. Pre-registration and payment required by April 2 in order to provide supplies for all attending.
