Ukrainian Easter Eggs at the CCHS
A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, "to write" or "to inscribe", as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax.
Come learn the fine art of Ukrainian Egg Painting with your children ages 12 and up! You will receive a kit to keep including dyes, a kitska, and wax. Some participants will also go home with premade dyes, due to the nature of the program.
Pre-registration and payment required by March 17th in order to provide supplies for all attending. Please register at https://programs.carvercountyhistoricalsociety.org/
