Summary: Minnesota's PFML offers payments to employees for time away from work to care for themselves or a family member. Employees can take up to 12 weeks of medical leave or 12 weeks of family leave (maximum 20 weeks if both types qualify) in a single benefit year. The program is funded through payroll premiums of 0.88% on wages up to $181,800, with small businesses (30 or fewer employees) qualifying for a reduced rate of 0.66%.
