DESCRIPTION:Light Up Waconia!\n\n\n\nOh\, you better watch out\, you better not cry\, because Santa Claus is...coming through Waconia!\n\nAt a time when it feels like so many of our favorite things are being cancelled or postponed\, we will gain a new Waconia experience this year.\n\nSanta and his good buddies at the Waconia Fire Department are going to Light Up Waconia!\n\n\n\nCurrent gathering restrictions do not allow us to gather for the annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony\, but thanks to a quick call from Fire Chief Nelson to Santa\, a new idea was sparked. \n\nLate afternoon on Friday\, November 27th\, the Fire Department will be escorting Santa throughout Waconia. Due to the busyness of the season\, Santa he will not be able to visit every street in Waconia\, but he would like an opportunity to see all the children (see link to his route below). To build on our theme of "Light Up Waconia"\, we ask for families not to light their holiday lights that evening until Santa passes their neighborhood. \n\n\n\nLater that evening\, Santa will be featured LIVE on the Waconia Events Facebook page\, where he will countdown and light up Waconia's City Square Park.
