Junior Curator Camp
The Junior Curators program is an interdisciplinary educational experience that allows youth to take on the roles of museum staff to research, create, and install an historical exhibit. This program encourages youth to think about historical events, people, places, or objects and go beyond what is found in textbooks. Our goal is to make youth more aware of their place in history and encourage further exploration of objects, photos, and writing exhibit texts. Youth will: Research using primary and secondary sources Write exhibit text and object labels Design exhibit layout and construct exhibit This camp will be offered to older children, for those going into grades 4-6. Cost: $50/members, $60/non-members. Daily 12-4pm. Space is limited to 12 kids. Snack provided.
